I always love looking at the decoration of other peoples coffee tables as I feel it is a good portrayal of the type of person you are. For instance if you enjoy fashion or photography rather buy books that show these interests of you. To prevent your coffee table from looking to cluttered use a tray and organise things neatly inside it, I would say less is more.
